Earlier today, I was talking to my Aunt Melanie on the phone about what books my sister and I liked best when we were 10 years old (our cousin, Jamie, is turning ten in a few months).
And that made me think of one of my FAVORITE SERIES OF ALL TIME!!
The Sweet Valley series (Kids, Twins, High, Senior Year, and College).
***To be fair I didn't really read a lot of the Senior Year or College series. (I never got over the author, Francine Pascal breaking up Elizabeth and Todd). That was just wrong!!!
Anyway, (following my crazy thought process).
The Sweet Valley series main characters are twins.
I love twins!
My sister and I have all the Mary-Kate and Ashley movies. (We lent the younger movies - like when the twins were 6 years old to 12 years old - to our cousin Jamie).
Again - I'm getting kind-of off topic - or on topic - it's confusing how my mind works.
Ahhhhh: I was thinking Sweet Valley BOOKS, Sweet valley high MOVIES (or to be correct TV series made into a season one DVD set) - Mary-Kate and Ashley movies - TWINS - what other movies DO I OWN that have twins in them - Parent Trap with Lindsay Lohan - Parent Trap with HALEY MILLS.
*****And that's when I decided that the next few movies I lend Sarah will have HALEY MILLS in them (Haley Mills does not have a twin, but she played twins in Parent Trap).
SO - the line up to be borrowed by Sarah will be:
Summer Magic
Pollyanna
The Parent Trap 1 & The Parent Trap 2
(it's a 2 in 1 DVD)
The Moon-Spinners
The Trouble With Angels
So that is 6 movies (I have the DVD set of Parent Trap 1 &2) it's a 2 in 1. (I also have the VHS Parent Trap 1).
That should keep Sarah busy for a while. She is going to kill me. LOL.
***My two favorite Hayley Mills movies are "Moon Spinners" and "Summer Magic" if you were wondering.
P.S. Mel - has Jamie seen any Hayley Mills movies?

Well, Joel now thinks it was a bird because there was poop on our sink. We thought it was a bat because it wasn't making any noise, but he doesn't think that it was bat poop. Gross. I haven't brushed my teeth. I just keep using mouthwash and we are going to the store this morning for new toothbrushes!
She has seen parent trap all different versions several times. I've seen Summer Magic but I don't know if she has seen it. I haven't seen the other two and I know she hasn't... yet. We'll have to look at the library and/or borrow yours sometime.
I went back to look at them again. We've seen Pollyanna a couple times too - cry every time.
