We were looking into renting a van for the ride to Texas since we don't think our car can make the trip there.
But it's a lot of money to rent a van for a week, and a lot of the companies don't rent to anyone under age 25 - and they won't let us tow our car behind it...
So - since we really need another vehicle anyway - and all of the above factors.
We are going to try to finance a van.
We looked at several vans today and decided on one. the place was about to close though, and the owner was out sick so we are going back on Monday to do the paperwork...

We are also looking for a new car! We thought we were going to buy one yesterday, but it was about $1000 more than we wanted to spend. It also was a stick shift, which I don't know how to drive.
I hope things work out with your family. It sounds like your mom really cares about you!
