Michelle Got A Job!!!

I finally got a job. It is at Petco. I will be a Grooming Assistant. It is about 3 blocks from Sha's job so I can walk if I have to. I was a bather at PetSmart last year and I loved it, but they moved me to cashier so I am really looking forward to being a grooming assistant now. I am so excited.

I love grooming and I'd be thrilled to work at a grooming salon to earn some extra cash!

To answer your questions:

When I was waiting for Peyton I was thinking up a whole bunch of cool nicknames I could call him. I thought Pey Dey, Pey, etc. would be cute, but then I got him and none of those names really seemed to fit. I actually don't know how I even came up with Jimmy... It is the perfect nickname for him, though! I love the name Peyton and that's what I call him most of the time. Occasionally I'll say something like "Good boy Jimmy" or "How's it goin' Jimmy?". In public when I don't feel like giving out his real name for whatever weird reason I tell people that his name is Jimmy. For all training purposes, however, Jimmy is Peyton. ;) Hope that made sense... LOL

As for my weird abbreviations, here is a simplified explanation: Each puppy in all of GDB's litters is given a shaved mark on their body that is unique within their litter. They do this so that they can identify the pups after birth (it's kind of like how non-GDB people give their pups different colored collars). Which part of the body is shaved depends on birth weight and color, but I won't get into that because it would take forever to explain. :) The first letter in the abbreviations is either L (left), R (right), or D (double). The second letter is either H (hip) or S (shoulder). The third letter is either M or F, which tells the puppy's gender. There can be pups in one litter that have the same shave as long as they are different genders. For example, Alana was the RSF and there was also a RSM in the litter. Hope that wasn't too confusing. Basically it's just a way to tell the puppies apart!
