This Providence

I had a good day today. I called the GM at Gateway 16, which is the theater I'm trying to transfer to in Austin, TX.

I got to talk to the GM and he said he could transfer me as a floor employee since I am nervous about being in charge of a large theater. Then, if I'm comfortable- and I do well - he'll promote me to associate manager in the Summer. Which is good.

Now, about the title of my post. Has anyone heard of "This Providence"? I had not, until tonight. Me and my co-manager were working/talking in the office when we got a phone call. It was a band - they wanted to exchange a CD for movie passes, the other manager took the call and said yes. So, when the band showed up, she was called downstairs to ring up the tickets.

The band left 2 (identical) CDs - the CDs have 4 songs on them each. And the CDs were wrapped professional - so it's definitely not a high school band, LOL.

I went online and looked the band up and they are actually on tour right now with a band called Ludo (who I have never heard of either, LOL). This Providence played at "The Canal Club" last night and they are working their way south (NC, SC, FL, AR, LA, TX) on tour.

They are going to be playing at "Emo's" on March 8th in Austin, TX.

I think that is sooo funny, since I will on my way to TX.

Anyway, I listened to the CD.

My co-manager took one of the CDs', and she let me have the extra one. I liked the band a lot. My aunt and I put the CD in her car CD-player on the way home - she liked them too.
